Roger Goodell is cracking down on NFL hooligans

I like what Goddell is doing but he's going a bit too far with this fan conduct policy. How can you hold the team accountable if their fans are assholes? Hold the person or persons accountable, not the team. Plus he's going to fine teams that sign bad character guys if they happen to get in trouble? C'mon.

You will get a much better reaction from the stadium security if teams are held accountable. If someone gets caught fighting they are held accountable, but if you also hold the team accountable also you will probably see more security effort at the stadium.

I am sad to read that in the USA, you also have some troubles with hooligans in the stadiums. Right here in Europe, we have very serious troubles with groups of hooligans (violence, racism...). Last year in France, a supporter of the soccer team of Paris Saint Germain has even been killed! That's crazy... I mean... it is only a sport... I hope that football in the USA won't be like soccer in Europe.

The main difference though is that the hooligans here are random fans, not organized groups. It's not nearly as bad here as it is in Europe and in the context of this story hooligans isn't exactly the best word to describe the fans being profiled in this story. Maybe drunk idiots would be a more accurate description, but far from the groups of hooligans over in Europe.

If teams can get in trouble because of their fans, then at the next Skins vs. Dallas game im buying a Cowgirls jersey from walmart and running onto the field with a beer in my hand!
