Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff

Tecmo Bowl is coming back! The only thing that stinks is because of the deal between the NFL and EA, this game won't have the real teams or players. Boo NFL.

Tecmo would be very wise to kick it totally old school with this game. The appeal of Tecmo was always it's simplicity. It was just a fun ass game that anyone could pick up and play. From what I've read so far it sounds like that will indeed be their approach with this one. If that's the case they could have a nice hit on their hands. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

As do I (FCE Ultra or Nesticle), and I get the updated copies from www.knobbe.org (http://www.knobbe.org/). They've developed Tecmo Super Bowl with 32 teams...it's great throwing long TDs from Campbell to Moss and Randle El.

Oh my god I can't believe this news. I'm guessing this will outsell Madden DS signficantly. While the lack of an NFL license surely hurts this game (after all, the original Tecmo Superbowl was, I believe, the first game to have full season stats) it still will be incredible to hop on the WIFI and make my family proud.

Another reason I can't wait for fall.
