Pretty cool story
A little less than two weeks ago at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Va., Mr. Snyder had waiting for me a cardboard box with Pops' name on it filled with every Redskins trinket and collectors' item imaginable, including an extra-large burgundy and gold football jersey — # 24 — autographed by Shawn Springs.

Great story. I was at Redskins.com today and noticed the links to the charities for the Suffolk tornado victims. I called one of them, who had no idea it was up, and they were very greatful for the Redskins organization putting it out there. I wouldn't have known about this organization supporting the tornado victims if not for the link.
It's always perplexing to me to see how quick the Snyder bashers pile on to every perceived mis-step or fault but never recognize the really good things Snyder does. I wonder what spin the Snyder bashers will put on this story....

He only did it because he wants to buy the island. He's all about money.
That's probably something they'd say. I remember when I went to the Redskins luncheon a couple of years ago, he was at the table and I told him I thought he was doing a great job and he reached out to shake my hand and I was nearly grabbed by the security. He waved them off but I told him it was ok but keep on doing what he was doing and eventually we'll start winning.
It's good to read about the good that he does because we ALWAYS get the bad.

Firstdown did his part too to raise awareness of the story

Well, in fairness, there's not much to talk about here. How many times can you say 'nice story' or 'good gesture'. So if it does fall off the main page quickly I'm not sure it is some kind of statement about how everyone is out to get Dan Snyder.

I love these kinds of stories. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)
How weird is it that Coach Gibbs was there when he made the delivery? I wish Pops could have met him. That would have been so awesome.
