Daseal, GhettoDogAllStars, jdlea, ivnetop, and others might appreciate this.

Atmosphere's newest release, "When life gives you lemons, you paint that shit gold" has reached number 5 on the billboard top 200 this week. They're all over MTV and have reached a status that very few indie hip hop artists reach.

I've been listening them pretty religiously for about the past 6-7 years and never expected to see them hit this big. Good for them.

"Some of you may have a tendancy to frown on our involvement with mtv, and for those of you that feel that way, please take a moment to reflect on the positives. every 30 seconds they give to a couple of idiots like us, is 30 seconds taken away from some other idiots.

Every new person they expose us to, is another potential piece of this movement that all of us take part in. Once you've considered that, feel free to hate, or feel free to love...or just feel free.
keep it moving."

Go get the latest album. It's pretty solid, I give it a B+

Awesome. Atmosphere is definitely a solid hop hop artists. I typically have at least one of his songs on every CD I burn. I'll definitely check out the new album.

I saw them at 930 club about a week ago, and it was sold out.

Blew my mind... I actually pissed off a couple of my friends because I told them not to worry, and that they could get tickets last minute. Had no idea that they would explode this time around.

Great show though... it was kind of cool to see a hip-hop artist perform with an entire live band ensemble.

It's about time hip hop that isn't about gun's, bitches, hoes, and cash came out. I'm all for the positive influences he represents, and every second of air time he gets, he deserves. He's turned down countless major record offers, and decided to stay with Rhymesayers... and probably is making a good bit of cash.

I'm diggin' the quote re: MTV... there's so much terrible hip hop out on mainstream media right now. It's good to take away the air time from T-Pain and Soulja Boy and replace it with quality acts.
