The only pick I was not overly enthused about was Brennan.
The guy was a great player in college, but that was in the WAC (which stands for Worst Ass Conference). And unless it is a kicker (Elam) or an O-Lineman coming out of Hawaii they are usually a bust.

Everyone remembers how Brennan did in that bowl game when Hawaii played a REAL Div 1 team. Brennan was a very good player is a very bad conference.

Remember how "great" Timmy Chang was at Hawaii? What has he done after college?

Hawaii plays an offense that is no longer used by teams in the NFL, the Run And Shoot, and QBs traditionally put up monster numbers in that scheme. But it is far and away different from anything you see in the NFL.

I may be wrong on this one. But but I just do not get a "warm fuzzy" drafting a QB from the WAC.

Great post, agree totally.

WAC.....Hilarious

Timmy Chang is in the CFL (Hamilton Tiger Cats). Brennan is probably AFL or CFL bound too.

I would have loved to have Ryan Clady from that crappy conference over most of our picks. I am sure the boys would also. :)

That guy's an idiot. The sooner we get rid of cerrato the better our chances of winning will be.

i'm sorry, but i don't recall pissing in your cereal :P

I think this draft could be the best in redskins history way to go vinny.
I wouldn't go overboard there - it was a solid draft. Of course, relative to the past 7 years, it was an incredible draft, but in absolute terms I would leave it at "solid".

I don't know why, but it seems lately that we've been getting an influx of relatively new guys (between 50 and 200 post) that love to call us idiots/morons whenever we disagree with their viewpoint. All that makes me wonder if they were banned from ES and decided to come here instead, since flaming people with opposing viewpoints is the norm over there.

Saying one player makes this team is ridiculous. The Redskins had a great draft, they got four players that were easily in the top 3 of their particular position on almost every board. We got two bigger WRs, a stud TE for 2 TE sets, a great punter, and some great depth. What didn't we get? Maybe Calais Campbell? I wanted him too, but it wasn't in the cards. I don't think our Dline is terrible by any means, but we could use some help.

The reason you draft a punter there is so you don't HAVE to compete with other teams. That's the point of drafting these players, having exclusive rights to a certain player. I would love to have a punter booming them for 10 years. I'd love a good kicker too.

You absolutely spend a pick on a potential great punter or kicker, it's a big part of winning football, how many late round picks even make the team, this kid will be starting for us day 1, great pick at a big time need area.

I wanted Calais as well I felt we could have drafted him early in the second and still have a big WR available with the next pick, but as of next year my biggest concerns are CB, and OL, we have some potential at CB right now in Tryon and Torrence, OL could be a real sore spot next season.

I have concerns with Kellys knee's but I think he's a natural at WR, I also loved Davis at TE just didn't see that kind of a pressing need to draft him there, Thomas is the most physically gifted hopefully he only gets better. One thing I liked about all 3 is they all look very aggressive, they want the ball nice to see.

it wasn't in the cards.

Actually it was in the Cards, as Campbell went to the Cardinals one pick before we drafted Kelly. I feel Calais Campbell would have been drafted by the Skins if he was available at 51.
