How many of Spurrier's QB's have gone on to succeed in the NFL??

If I was Billick I'd tell the ball coach to take a hike unless he's there to set a golf date.

Wuerfell was very succesful in the preseason. Especially in Osaka.

They brought in Fassel to teach Boller though, so why would they bring in spurrier. They are already paying for a guys advice, and I highly doubt Fassel and Spurrier would give the same advice thats its beneficial to have them both.

Another potential landing place for SS is his alma mater - Tennessee. If Phil Fulmer gets the Vols waxed in another minor bowl game this year, there could be some pressure to bring SS in there.

Actually, Spurrier went to Florida and won the Heisman there in 1966. He has always hated UTenn. What was that quote of his... "You can't spell Citrus without UT".

I figured it all out!!!!!! They want to get the media attention away from the indictments levied on their franchise running back. There is not other plausible explanation!

Damn you got me, I forgot about that, the gloved one shredded the 49ers' third stringers that night.

Dave Butz Baby:

Thank you. I was confused. SS did indeed go to Florida.

He is from Tennessee prior to his going to the University of Florida and that is the link that supposedly will put his hat in the ring if Fulmer gets tossed overboard.

Spurrier should be a cordinator in college as well, and not a coach. hes a shitty coach but could be a great offensive cordinator in college. The gators never go undefeated under spurrier, and zook I think is a better all around coach. If spurrier went back to flordia but just worked as a cordinator I think he would be better off.

Stop ragging the old ball coach with the new rules about defensive holding maybe his schemes could work in the NFL. Besides Patrick Ramsey has shown me most of the problems with our offense was not the o-line or the scheme but the damn QB. he doing the same things without spurrier that he did with spurrier. but ohh i forgot Ramsey is so great with his 4 wins as a starter.

Ramsey is struggling right now because he's trying to pick up a new offense. In case you haven't noticed Brunell and Hasselbeck have also had their share of problems in doing the same thing.

Ramsey has just 16 career starts, if we need to stop ragging on someone it's definitely him.

in all fairness mattyk its hard to ignore the fact that Ramsey got killed last year, the oline was blamed, along with Spurriers blocking schemes. Yet when Hasselback played he was sacked a much fewer amount of times per game. And its not like Hasselback is Vick back there scrambling around, he just doesnt hold the ball forever and tries to make plays.
