WCO need these players, they are going no wheres. just think about it.. if we were to throw out a 4 or 5 receiver set. what would it have looked like last year.. compared to when we throw that same formation out this year.

They all get traded. Teams are giving away entire drafts to get wr's right now. There just aren't any quality wr's looking to be traded so it would be simple to get a couple #1 picks for Moss and probably a young Pro Bowl DE for ARE. And the $13 million cap hit we take trading Cooley is easily offset by Brett Favre coming out of retirement to play for vet minimum.
These are all depth picks, not immediate starters. Of course, if Thomas kicks ass in training camp and looks like Randy Moss in preseason then I guess we have a new #1.

Who knows, maybe we can get two 3's and a 4th for Santana.

I put my money on Mix making the team plus I bet he is pretty upset at the fact that the Redskins seem not to trust him enough not to pick two WR's in the same round of the draft.
It looks to me like Mix will be given a chance to compete and try to make the team. But he may have been brought on more so to give the impression to other teams that we werent as desperate for receivers as we apparently are. Thus enabling us to trade down, and still get the 1st or 2nd best receiver in the draft.

the answer is....................NOBODY! Moss and Randle el will stay. Cooley doesnt even need to be mentioned as trades go. by week 10. Moss on one side, Thomas/Kelly the other, Randle el in the slot. Cooley at TE. Davis for double TE sets. the non Thomas/Keely starter as 4th receiver. ARE can concentrate more on punt returns. Thrash may or can stay because he's a special teams guy. Mix, released! Mathis, released!. Thrash, Caldwell, McCardell. those were 3,4,5 last year. Wait to you see what Jason does with these guys. Ceratto knows what he's doing. He'll add some depth in later rounds. and next year maybe concentrate on defense. We may have set our receiving core for 2010, 2011, 2012.

Nobody will get traded. It took 2 people to replace Lloyd. After all he was a key loss if you look on the ESPN line during the draft. :Smoker:

Schneed reminded me of this last night.....look at the cap hits before you even think about trade. No way Moss or ARE are going anywhere before 2010.

If we were going to trade any WR's we would have put them up to get Chad. Mix and Thrash are still very good on special teams, and Mathis will compete for returner. That leaves Moss at #1, and its open season for 2-4. We have a perfect scenerio for our WR corps including a great TE to play the other side when Cooley is not open. Also, Cooley is a hell of a blocker, so I see him in the blocking schemes a little more with Portis being used underneath in the passing game. JC has soooo many options now an I am starting to get excited!

I love Santana, but know with all of the new wideouts I would consider a trade with the Eagles for Lito straight up.

Nobody is getting traded.. We have a great balance of size and speed now at the WR position and I don't see us messing with that anytime soon. Remember the games in the middle of last season when James Thrash was starting? JAMES THRASH!!! We needed 2 more legitimate WR if for no other reason than to not have such a huge drop off when Moss and ARE inevitably get injured..
I personally love the draft so far (but admittedly scratched my head with the Kelly pick when it happened) and as an offensive guy who wants to see us put up 28 pts a game I am excited to see Campbell play with his new toys.
