Trade details as per JLC:
Skins send the 103rd pick to Tennessee for the 124th and 157th picks.
Skins did not previously have a 5th round pick, so now they get one. Guessing they may target a a QB there, now that they have that pick. Gotta think they look DL with the 4th round pick and there's some good ones still on the board.

1st: Agreed as to the "higher rated by who" comment. This guy looks versatile and appears to have a great attitude. His flaws seem mainly in technique but: a) those can be cured under Buges; and b) he seems to have the personality that wants to improve.
2nd: Good move on picking up the extra 5th.

No. But then again a lot of guys leave early. Honestly I would've taken Manningham or Sweed cause of the production over a period of time.
I might have taken Sweed with one of our 2nd round picks, but I wouldn't have touched Manningham.

what about safety Steltz from LSU to reuinite with Landry would that be good with the next pick?

You can't ignore his production. Yeah he's got some issues but what 21 year old doesn't?

I think it's pretty clear at this point, this is a depth & development draft. I would suggest that none of the guys chosen so far are being expected to start this year. If they do, great! If not, that's the plan. Maybe one of the receivers pushes for the 2/3 slot and Davis is the second TE. Now we pick a developmental DL guy and 3rd string QB in 4 & 5. In the 6th, 7th we get more depth along both lines.
Day 2 draft coverage:
Ok, does anyone else have a problem with the way ESPN and NFLN cover day 2? All they do basically is analyze day 1 and inteview GMs, coaches, and players. Why does day 2 take a back seat to day 1? I'd love to see them cover day 2 more like they cover day 1. Let's hear some analysis of each pick and see some highlights.

Thomas and Kelly might not start but I expect they will both play significant roles in multiple WR sets.

Are you serious? You don't disagree that Moss is at best an average wide receiver? Did you watch any games last year after he got back to being healthy? Bears, Giants, Vikings, Cowboys? I'm glad fans don't evaluate talent for this team at any level other than internet posts.
I guess I should clarify my post. Moss is below average for a #1, above average as an overall WR in the NFL. A four game stretch doesn't make a season. If he's going to be injured or "slowed by injury" for 12 games how does that help us.
Moss was 18th in YDs, 20th in receptions, and only had 3 TDs. Very pedestrian for a #1 WR. I do agree with you on one point...I am glad fans (looking through Burgundy and Gold colored glasses) don't evaluate talent for us.
