This seems kind of ironic coming from someone who, if I'm not mistaken, said Devin Thomas was only interested in the money when he left Michigan State early, not in getting any better.Well, if I can clarify:
Devin Thomas' choice was to get paid now, or spend another year in college to better his game. That is a dualism, as spending another year in college to improve ones game means he is not allowed to enter the draft. It has to be one or the other.
I wouldn't doubt that Thomas wants to help the Redskins win. That seems pretty fundamental. If you want to play professional ball, you probably want to win while doing so. I would argue that he wasn't the best choice for a team looking to improve itself, but that's another debate entirely.
I was simply addressing the dualism that dmek was assuming between 1) wanting to win, and 2) wanting to get paid. I don't believe one exists there. I think people can both want to win and get paid.
Make sense?
