I'd throw out the ends straight away. One is old and the other is potentially over rated. From the WRs I have always been a Roy Williams fan and with him being the youngest I'd go with him. But I am tempted by the extra 2nds. Depending on what we got I think we could build some long term depth if we were ti get say 3 out of it. Maybe a 2 and 3 this year and a 2 for next next year.

Man if Ryan we're to slip to 21 I think we'd be in great position. The guy can play and someone is going to want him.

Additional 2nd rd; the more picks we have, the more choices we have especially with linemen.. However I would try to get my trading partner's 3rd rd too if possible..

Boldin is a beast, but we'd need a big guy, i'd go with Williams

I'm inclined to say Boldin, but I'l go with 2nd round picks. Then again I'm really on a Merling/Nelson/Best Available O-Lineman kick.

Also you guys can make fun of me if I'm wrong and I know I've been saying this a lot lately but I really think the team will take Merling at 21 and then trade up with the Jets to ensure they get Jordy Nelson.

Ryan isn't going past the Ravens at 8.

I wouldn't get myself wrapped into a knot over a wide receiver's height. There was this guy named Jerry Rice and he wasn't 6'5" tall but he was kinda good.

And Jim Zorn threw to another guy in Seattle - - some guy who wound up being a Congressman - - and he wasn't much over 6 feet tall.

Would anyone here accept Hines Ward in DC as a Redskin? Geez, I don't know; he's awfully short...

Pragmatically, the Redskins need a receiver who can:

1. Get open.
2. Catch the ball when it hits him in both hands.
3. Gain yards after the catch by breaking a tackle.
4. Block well on running plays - - every running play.

It doesn't matter if this guy is tall; he just has to be effective at the WR position. The reason the Skins need such a player is that the ones they have at WR are only marginally effective at the position. None of the WRs on the roster at the moment can do all four of those things regularly.

If I were the GM, I'd trade for either Roy Williams or Anquan Boldin in a heartbeat. They play hard every play and they aren't prima donnas.

I would NOT trade for Chad Johnson because he represents a time bomb in the locker room. He may not go off and ruin things for the next year - - but he might do it after Game 2. NOT WORTH THE RISK.
