I would definitely take Boldin over Johnson and Williams.

Well, Boldin over Johnson is a no brainer if you ask me, but why Boldin over Williams????

cause williams isn't as good as people think and boldin is much better than being "just" a #2 as people have stated in the thread (As which is totally bogus).

williams also said he isn't a west coast WR...

why can't we win the lottery every day?

boldin was a 2nd rounder i believe (but colston was a 7th rounder, and there's jerry rice)

it's just not that easy.

why not? other teams draft quality wr's in rounds 2-7. it's not an uncommon thing ya know... brandon marshall, colston, greg jennings, steve smith and so on. with our recources it should be an easy thing to do imo.

easy to get the one decent late round guy out of 32 teams? i don't know how you can say something's easy when 3% of teams can do it in a single year. to me that's, well, the opposite of easy. and the other guys have the same resources we do, so that's moot as far as an advantage.

if it's so easy, go ahead and tell us who next year's wr stud is going to be and when we should pick him and we'll see if he's available and if he turns out to be any good in his first year. chances are you'll lose on it though.

Here's a quick proof that a lot of ppl are ranting about the CJ situation and don't stop to look at the situation more thoroughly:

CJ doesn't want a new deal, he wants out of Cincy...a poorly run team, with a bunch of thugs and terrible management.

Boldin wants a new deal and more money, especially after Fitz got a ton of money from the Cards. The Cards have offered him a new deal, but Rosenhaus didn't accept it.

Now, while I've said many times that CJ is a case head, in this situation I think the greedy one is Boldin. Why do I bring this up, because there are a lot of people who are just ranting b/c they hate CJ and not b/c they are making a good argument.

Besides, as it has been said before, we quickly come down on players that want out of their contracts, but say nothing when teams cut players before their contract is up. It's all a business, so let's stop pretending like both players and teams honor their contracts.

Why are people crucifying Boldin like he's the greedy a-hole? I understand where Boldin's coming from, Fitzgerald is getting paid like 4 times the salary of Boldin and Boldin doesn't have a lot of years left on his deal anyways. He simply wants to be paid what he's worth, and he knows that's not gonna happen with Arizona because they don't have the cap space to afford him so he wants to be traded. It's not like Boldin signed a new deal a year ago and he wants to upgrade from getting paid 7 million a year to 10 million a year.

Well unfortunately for Boldin Arizona doesn't know anything about cap space. LOL. But true, Arizona won't be able to pay both Boldin and Fitz so they should consider trading him. The same for Cincy, they won't be able to pay both Chad and TJ. But these teams are sticking to their guns.

True, but at some point Arizona is gonna have to realize that he's either gonna walk for nothing or they can trade him and get something, either that or he decides to take a new contract that will fit under Arizona's salary cap but won't pay him that much. The difference with CJ is that I think the Bengals are determined that they aren't gonna let him call the shots, they are either gonna move on with him or without him, and the smart money is on with him because 98% of the guys in this league that threaten to holdout the entire season end up coming in to play because of all the money they are losing.

Well, those that said he's just a #2 don't know any better, and I can easily ignore those comments as untrue.

williams also said he isn't a west coast WR...

That's a good point, but I really think he doesn't know what he's talking about. West coast offenses are BETTER for WR's. I just think Williams has more talent and is younger, and larger. He'd be a perfect fit for us.
But hey, to each his own.

I don't know about Boldin being a #2. In my book he's a #4 reciever, but in all honesty anyone that can put up the type of numbers Boldin put up, with virtually no running game, not to mention having to catch passes for a while from the likes of Shaun King and Josh McCown is a bonafide #1 reciever in my book. And remember this was before Larry Fitzgerald came to town.

Personally I would offer the Cardinals the same deal we offered for CJ
