I was watching Sportscenter before, and Mortensen said that we offered a trade for Boldin (they didn't have any details on what we offered) and the Cardinals rejected that too.
Don't know cause I'm not at work but I think it may have been the exact same deal.

Bolden is the only one that I think is worth that 1st/3rd plus fat contract deal. His size, hands, and age make him worth it. West coast offense...I'm not thrilled about it, but might as well make the best of it.

Hasn't Boldin had some pretty bad knee injuries? That's not a concern?

I remember that he sat out some of last season. I didn't realize he had bad knee injuries. If that's the case, that would certainly affect my view of any trade proposal.

we're interested, they're not, cj's not happy about it.

boldin for a 1st NOT 1st + something. he's not cj and he's had 2 seasons with injury issues.
when healthy he's good for 1400 though.

So I do not have to post my opinion on 3 differnt threads. I will take Boldin, Williams, or CJ in a New York minuite. Yes, I would give up a 1st rounder for any of them. That alleviates the need for a WR and we still have a draft to work with. Great WR's are hard to find. IMO all 3 are great and provide what we need on the opposite end of Santanna (about 16 inches).

I second 724Skinsfan's opinion that people who demand trades need to be viewed differently. We should also caution against the feeling that a player is "reasonable" because his antics and noise level don't rise to the level of Chad Johnson - he's so far over the line that he can't see it in his rear view mirror.
That being said, Boldin has a case for wanting to move on.
2003: Recorded 101 catches for 1,377 yards ... In his first professional season, caught at least three passes in all 16 games and his five 100-yard receiving games were the most by a Cardinal since 1998 (Frank Sanders, 5)
authored the Cards three longest plays from scrimmage, all touchdowns (71, 60, and 54 yards), and eight of the top 10
led the NFL with 40 third-down receptions and registered 64 first downs to lead all rookies
held the third down receiving leader spot for 15 of 17 weeks
2004: Recorded 56 catches for 623 yards ... Underwent surgery to repair a slightly torn meniscus in his right knee on 8/11 after suffering the injury in a training camp practice on 8/10
subsequently deactivated due to the knee injury for the first six games of 2004
returned to action @ Buf (10/31) as a third receiver and recorded a game-high four receptions for 50 yards
in his first start of the season tied Larry Fitzgerald for a team-high five receptions in his homecoming game @ Mia (11/7) for 37 yards in his second game back from a knee injury.
2005: 102 catches for 1,402 yards ... Opened the season by continuing his streak of catching at least three passes in every game he has played, catching four passes for 62 yards @ NYG (9/11)
recorded his eighth career 100-yard receiving game vs. StL (9/18) with 119 yards on eight receptions
became the fastest NFL receiver to reach 200 receptions after making eight grabs for 105 yards and a touchdown @ StL (11/20)
2006: For the third time in four years went over 1,000 yards receiving and was also selected to the Pro Bowl for the second time in his career ... 83 catches for 1,203 yards
All this while working under a contract that will pay him (only?) $2.5 million next year while his teammate (who averages fewer catches and yards) will average around $14 million a year through the next three. I don't think that's a good atmosphere for him at all, and frankly he has handled himself fairly professionally.

I just saw on NFL Total Access that Boldin has requested a trade. How would you guys feel about going after him instead of Chad Johnson?
Of course the Cards are saying no deal, but would they jump at the same deal we offered for CJ?
azcentral.com | Phoenix Arizona News - Arizona Local News (http://www.azcentral.com/sports/cardinals/articles/2008/04/22/20080422boldin.html)
I'd prefer him over CJ because of the age factor. But it's just going to cost too much and he's going to want a deal near what Fitzgerald got. Plus he's injury prone.
I hate to keep repeating myself but why can't we draft a guy like Boldin in the 3rd or 4th round?
