The guys that have said that they wouldn't give up a first or second-rounder for Roy Williams and would rather use the draft: Are you serious? I just don't understand that logic. What exactly do you hope to get in the draft in the form of a WR at pick 21, or worse at pick 51 in the second round? With the number of WR busts we see every single year, you'd rather take your chances and spend the draft pick on an unproven rookie than on a veteran, pro-bowl caliber WR? I mean seriously, would you rather spend the same pick on a Taylor Jacobs in the second round with the hope that he's the next great thing than spending that same pick on someone who is already a top 12 WR in the NFL? For every superstar WR to come out of any given draft there are typically dozens of disappointments in the early rounds. I like my odds better with a proven commodity.

Definitely agree. I think people tend to forget that it's not an all or nothing situation. Meaning, shifting to a more "frugal" youth-oriented strategy doesn't mean you ignore all other options. The Redskins have said all along they will spend money if/when a good opportunity presents itself.

welker over moss? come on. that's just a terrible idea in every way.

without moss welker doesn't have that season, as moss is FAR more profilic. it's not even close.

well, he's really not good enough for a 1st when you have to pay him a next bloated contract right away (CJ would be though). a 2nd would be great though, but he's simply not an elite WR, he's just very good.

i'd rather have a proven vet than an unproven one.

If I'm Matt Millen, I'm on the horn with Vinny asking for the same deal offered for Ocho Cinco..

Yeah, but if I'm Vinny then I'm tell Matt Millen to fuck off. I'm not about to give out the same deal for an injury prone reciver that doesn't think he's a good fit for a west coast offense. Boldin on the other hand I might be willing to offer a similar deal, but then again Bidwell is as stuborn as they come.

Millen isn't that smart.
