when you look at it we are a DB, or DE priority team right now. The Cowboys, too need some help on defense. With T.O. and us with ARE and Moss, I just cannot see anyone other than the Eagles end up with Roy Williams. WR for them is priority #1 and their offer will be higher. I am in no way saying we couldnt use Williams. I would be moderately happy if we let go of a #2 pick for him. A WR is a need for us right now but I really hope we use that #1 on some defense and save a draft pick or a draft pick trade for a WR later in the week.

Now there you go bringing logic and good sense into it.

If I remember right, Roy Williams made some comments about how he's "not a West Coast Offense WR" a few months (years?) back.

I say, wait a year and go hard after Marques Colston

Yes but Roy Williams is not the trouble maker Randy Moss was when he was on the Raiders and Vikings. Also Randy Moss was coming off two terrible seasons in Oakland. And just because the raiders were stupid enough to get rid of him for a fourth does not make it the precedent for all other WR trades. There are three teams in need of a Big Play making Receiver and they are all in the same division competing for RW's services. The Price goes Up!!!!

Either or CJ will most likely get traded this week. Would you rather throw high picks @ him?

The thing that people forgot was that Randy Moss gave up on the Raiders he still had the talent he just didnt want to play for the Raiders

I would just be beside myself if yet ANOTHER elite WR comes into the NFC East.

that piece of crap should be able to be sued by the Raiders. He didnt want to play... give me a break. I sure am glad all of our recievers want to play, or that all the WR's in the league dont ever take his logic and run with it. Anyways, thats my rant......

back on topic.. oh yeah I already responded

1.RW = good but we dont need him enough to part with a 1st or 2nd round.
2. Dallas is content with the pass dropping TO and the flash-in-the-pan Patrick Crayton. plus their defense is holyer than the Pope's swiss cheese.
3. The Eagles REALLY need a WR. Call me a bad fan, but I had to Google them just to see who their #1 receiver was.

The Raiders had shit for talent. It doesn't mean Randy wasn't trying. When your Oline is holding for two seconds, it's hard to get a pass off. Who was Moss' QB? Who was across from him? Let's also look at this -- Randy Moss when hes at his prime goes deep. He burns DBs, he has great hands, and is best for that system. The way he was being used in Oakland didn't allow for him to use his skillset to the best of his potential.

Let's also remember that the Pats gave up two 2nd round picks for Wes Welker. Wes Welker was a good player, but far from a stud. I love how everyone points at Randy Moss and ignores the compensation given to the Dolphins for Welker.

I think that the Pat's got good value in Wes Welker for 2 2nd round picks. Didn't he lead the league in receptions? Plus, how many drives were extended with his run after the catch on 3rd down?

Hopefully ARE will play a similar role this year.

I would take Welker over Moss any day

That's a bold statement.....

Welker is very good, but would not have had the success he did without Moss drawing as much attention he does. Didn't Moss set the TD record for WR this year too (23 I believe). Teams don't gameplan to take away Welker, they do for Moss.

I'd Welker over the lazy Moss in Oak, but the Moss we've seen thusfar in NE is head and shoulders (literally and figuratively) above Welker.
