Saden1's Bitter Draft Poll: Who Do You LEAST Want?dmek25 04-15-2008, 07:58 AM Any of the WRs im with you. our needs are much more pressing at other positions MTK 04-16-2008, 09:50 AM Definitely wouldn't want Talib after reading this: “There is no way I’d touch (Talib),” one team told PFW. “He’s gotten into a lot of trouble, and he still does not get it.” “He’s got a laundry list of issues,” another team executive said of Talib's off-the-field behavior. “He’s not a one-time offender. Give a guy like him money, and it never gets better. It only gets worse.” If we could get Kelly in the 2nd that would be a steal. Larry Michael is Satan 04-19-2008, 03:42 AM I voted Talib. Just sounds too much like Taliban. EXoffender 04-19-2008, 07:59 PM This is tricky. On one hand you have to look at who's has the least value at the 21st pick. Scratch Talib. He would be considered a steal at that point and we would draft him because of that. On the flipside, Campbell and Sweed would be considered reaches. So therefore I wouldn't be happy with either of them (voted Campbell). Now. Thomas, Kelly, and Merling would be about spot on. These two wideouts bring totally different attributes to the game. Thomas seems to have the makeup of a prototypical pro. I think of Jordy Nelson in the same way: Can he be had in round two or on day two? Kelly seems to be a slower and possibly hurt Plaxico Burress (see how Burress still dominated games at less than 100%) Kelly is a nightmare for smallish NFL CBs and he doesn't drop balls. Merling is likely the safest pick. mauiRedskinbarn 04-20-2008, 09:26 AM I don't think Merling or Thomas will be there at 21, Kelly and Calais Cambell are 2nd round talent, Sweed is not worth a 21 pick, and niether is Talib. I think the skins should 1. either trade down to grab an extra 2nd and 3rd, and then grab Calais Cambell or Lawrence Jackson(whichever is available), and Malcom Kelly in the 2nd round(a steal), and then adress the o-line and CB positions in the third. 2. or trade up with either Chicago to grab Branden Albert. 3. Or go big and trade up with Kansas City to grab Chris Long or Vernen Gholston or Glenn Dorsey, all of which are blue chips in my opinion and one would definetly be available. I want them to trade down, but it seems like every team wants to trade down, so maybe we could get a steal by trading up. If Merling is available at 21 then just grab him, but all of the other prospects are not worth the value of 21. I say TRADE DOWN- aquire more picks in this very deep draft, that would be the smart move davelavarra 04-21-2008, 12:25 PM Answer is Aqib Talib to me. He's highly overrated, gives up too many big plays. |
