Smooter 04-11-2008, 08:41 AM Could you elaborate? Because from all I've seen of him play, he seems pretty solid
Did you watch the Texas A&M or Colorado game when he was throwing tantrums for not getting the ball enough? How about two straight Fiesta bowls in a row where he got injured? This also isn't the first time OU has been bashed over something like this. In a December interview with the Tulsa World, Kelly's father, Moses Kelly, said his son was considering the direction of the OU offense and his use in it as a factor in making his decision. "Is his school going to design more plays to get balls for him, or is he going to run down field the majority of time blocking, which is mostly what he did this season?" Moses Kelly said. "He started off catching more, but as the season went along, he didn't get more than two or three touches a game. If the defense adjusts like that again and they can't get the ball more to him, he has to think about, 'If I stay, what would be the benefit?' " This is from Tulsa World. Its my opinion but I say no thanks to him. If we draft a WR I hope we overlook him and go after someone in later rounds.

Thanks for this. I guess I didn't know the whole story. I shoulda known better...but I don't work on college football anyway :)
I always felt like when given the opportunity he did well, but it seems like there's more to the story than that. Does he seem like another M. Westbrook to you?

3) Looks like he has a visit scheduled to Washington. If he were to be on the board at 51 (but not 21) it would be a nice pick. If I remember, Anquan Boldin ran a 4.7 or 4.8 and he has turned out ok. I've heard Kelly is a high character guy, but this outburst doesn't help him much in my book. I can understand the frustration, though, and if he checks out otherwise the disappointing 40 time might be a good thing for the Skins.Danny, Vinny, and Spurrier picked Taylor Jacobs with Anquan Boldin still on the board. I would take a slower, tougher guy who just makes plays over a soft pretty boy WR every time. I still like Kelly, and now perhaps we can get him in the 2nd round.

Wonder if he will run a sub 4.4 at his super secret private workout with zero pro scouts in attendance .... Yikes! Maybe we can get him with our compensatory pick if he just keeps acting crazy :)

Hes a stud and I think he has what it takes to be in nfl, but not a #1 or even a #2. He needs to do some serious damage control or hes gonna scare his possible suitors off. Now that hes gone im ready to see what this guy can do.

SeanTaylor21 04-12-2008, 01:57 PM Malcom Kelly shouldn't be blaming the school, and it's medical staff for his bad time, he should have said it was all his fault, and it would have made him look good, and maybe some teams would give him a look from pick 15-20 area, if I were a GM, I wouldn't go after him until the second round.

Another bad move by Kelly. At this point we might be able to get him in the third round lol. Seriously why hold a private workout where no scouts are allowed? That doesn't help anything, it's only gonna make you look more odd.

I think the latest is it will be in front of pro scouts but on astroturf, which is good because he'll get to run fas but bad because no stadium has astroturf anymore.

And the only people who will be fooled by a faster time are guys who run internet draft sites and live in their parent's basement. NFL scouts know what is going on.
