Historically the '21' pick in the draft have turned into solid NFL talent.

I found myself staring at the #21 again how strange, the number comes up so frequently and is talked about so much, here it is again picking '21' in the draft unless we trade?

This is a rather interesting article looking at around 30 years of draft picks that happen to be the 21st pick in the draft.

Some pretty darn good talent. Hopefully we will land a special talent in the draft with our 21st pick this year, and do well with the rest of our draft. It's a pleasant surprise as we stand now to have 4 picks on the first day.

wow, Lynn Swann and Randy Moss were on the board for 20 picks? Hindsight really is 20/20! I sure hope this is an indication of a good pick for us. Another great indication that has been mentioned earlier is that historically, any time the Giants have won the Super Bowl, the Redskins have won the year after. Now, we need to draft the best all time DB or WR at #21 and win the Super Bowl to align the stars and make the prophecies true.

Thats some good company and an important pick towards our future, I hope and pray we can step up and pick a solid player as well as a stand up human being to contribute.

Seems like a mixed bag if you ask me. I bet most picks in the first round would look fairly similar. Moss and Swann make the list, but Sylvester Morris, Roger Vick, Clifford Charlton, et al. Looks like an article about a whole lot of nothing. Why not do an article about how you've probably never heard of anyone drafted at pick 96 (except Az Hakim) and the Redskins compensatory pick in the 3rd has them set to pick at that selection. Guess they are doomed!

I thought the exact same thing when I saw it. Good post.

Just a side note...
The fan's guide to the 2008 NFL Draft (http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d8074f03d&template=without-video&confirm=true)

Having Day 1 draft picks now means only picks in the first and second round since they've changed the format of the draft this year. So we only have 2 picks on Day 1.

Day 2 is the third round and beyond.
