Dude, hello? Overall body of work, sure stats look the same. But consider the streaks to end the year. Ottawa lost a lot down the stretch and suffered some key injuries. Starting hot then finishing cold with injuries/losses, and going 3-6-1 in their last 10 games = CRAWLING into the playoffs as the second-to-last seed.
Meanwhile the Caps are the hottest team in the league, added some great talent at the trade deadline, and won 11 of 12 and 7 straight to finish the season, steamrolling in the playoffs. Your bias is making you look less intelligent than I hope you are.
Sure they won 11 of 12 at the end of the season but of the 11 games only 3 games were against playoff teams, and the caps lost to the PENS right before they started their awsome hot streak againt teams that didn't make the playoffs, I am sorry but that is not impressive to beat up on teams that suck anyhow. And with the 94 points that the caps managed to get is not any better than the 94 points that Ottawa (7th seed) has or the 94 points that Boston (8th seed) has. Yet as a division winner the caps were still behind in points to the Flyers, Rangers, and Devils, put any one of those teams in the weak southeast division and that is the division champ. The only reason that the caps got their division title was because of a weak division, still not impressive...

Yea, Green putting in two to start the 3rd was huge......lets not forget the tough man BRASH getting the party started...KUDOS! Ovie HAD to CAP them off with the back breaker......SWEET!

the play by play guys on comcast put up a stat about how the caps have outscored their opponents in the 3rd priod during this winning streak and it's something like 17-2. just amazing.

Just one man I kept hearing Flyers saying. Just one man. Well our one man poke checked a lazy pass and then stole the rebound right in front of the net and made two of your defensemen look like douchebags.

I hope you don't think sitting back and protecting a lead or playing on your heels with a two goal lead, with 20 minutes to play against this explosive Caps team is a good idea......
If and I hope not.......thats what the flyers where doing.....BAD MOVE or just fine with me, I hope they continue there BEST work. This Caps team is VERY dangerous!
