I also presume that the team might have visited with Dwight Lowery (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/cb/dwightlowery.html) but I don't have access to Warpath insiders so I can't confirm that either.

D.J. Hall (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/djhall.html) looks like a smart visit, if it's true, and it's possible that the team could get him in the 5th round, which would allow the team to hold down the Reciever position for another year.

Dwight Lowery? why would you say that?

It was a featured story on was.scout.com (Warpath Insiders) but the headline didn't mention that he was visiting the Skins specifically, instead it only mentioned that Lowery was visiting two teams. I presume though that most of the stories posted on that site on related to the Redskins, but given that I'm not a member I can't tell for sure. My instincts tell me that the story wouldn't be posted for a 3rd round prospect like Lowery unless it was relevant.

San Jose State CB Dwight Lowery told Scout.com's Ed Thompson over the weekend that he'd be hopping on a plane Sunday night to head out for his first NFL visit, and has a second one in roughly a week. Find out where he's going and what other teams have been talking to him in this Scout.com exclusive.

Don't have a subscription either. All I know is

1. Lowery is scheduled to meet with the Saints next week, and I think spoke to some east coast team. Giants maybe? I forget

2. Scout.com is for all teams, not just the Redskins. What you saw on the Redskins Scout page may have been a link to some other team's scout page

3. I haven't heard anything at all about the Redskins talking to him

Thats the part that prevents me from being 100% sure. Don't worry I'm not so stupid as to think that scout.com is exclusively a Redskins site :D. Personally I would love a subscription but I already got one to ESPN Insider for Christmas a few years ago, and so far it seems to be worth it.

Also for all you Andrew Crummy fans out there:

Maryland (March 12)

Reps from 14 NFL teams were on hand to see 15 players work out on the Astroturf surface of Cole Field House.

» OL Andrew Crummy (6-4 5/8, 306): Was unable to run, jump or do position drills due to a foot injury. Did 28 reps at the bench press…

» TE Joe Haynes (6-7 ½, 264): Ran the 40 in 4.81 and 4.79, had a 31 ½-inch vertical jump, 10-foot, 8-inch long jump, 4.31 short shuttle, 19 reps in the bench press, and ran position drills.

The Redskins are set to meet next week with an Offensive Tackle as the team prepares for the Draft.

Virginia Tech Offensive Tackle Duane Brown told Bucs Blitz's Matthew Postins that he is set to visit with a bunch of teams in the near future including the Redskins.

Brown played Right Tackle for the Hokies this season. But the part you might not know is, Brown also covers punts for the Hokies.

Brown, a converted Tight End, is as athletic an Offensive Tackle as an NFL team could ask for. He played Tight End his first year of college and then gained a little weight. Since he did not lose any of his speed, he is fast for his size. His speed is what makes him able to cover punts for the Hokies' heralded Special Teams unit.

Brown also told Matthew Postins that most teams are telling him that he could go as early as the second round of the draft.

Could the Redskins be looking at someone to groom to replace either Chris Samuels or Jon Jansen?

In response to Chris Johnson being a weird visit...

1. I agree we do not need an RB!
2. This kids could be the steal of the draft in the second or third round. He ran the fastest 40 yard dash of any player at the combine. He lead all RB's in all purpose yards for the 2nd straight season.
3. He is not just a RB, he can catch, return kick-offs, and return punts.
4. If he is there in the third, which I doubt he will be, then I think we should consider even though I understand it is not a need! Best player available...remember?
5. I usually side with drafting for needs not best player, but you just don't know the upside of a guys like this.

Thoughts?

If they're on this thread I may have missed it, but I think Alvin Bowen, Jon Banks, and Kendall Langford might need to be on this list as well

I'd love for the 'skins to show some major interest in Brandon Flowers and Eddie Royal!

Eddie Royal would be a good guy to see challenge Antwaan Randle El on returning punts, or be put back there for trick plays.
