Oh yes, let's penalize a team for trying to punt the ball out of bounds inside the 20 by forcing them to punt it into the end zone...

I know it was rejected, but for crying out loud, can't they even think of leaving well enough alone.
I've said this about three other proposals and I'll say it again, they should put a moratorium on these knee-jerk proposals and not act as if the league began three months ago!!!
I'm guessing Chicago proposed this?

Who else would? I wonder, if the league had passed it, how long it would have taken to bite Chicago in the ass? I can only imagine another return man as explosive as Devin ending up in the on an opposing division team and Chicago saying "Oh shit, what have we done?".

Well, I don't mind NFL rule changes too much, but I gotta say they are always thinking of making the game better. They declined this because that would have made the game worse. What a stupid proposal.
