As big a fan as I am of the 'Skins, I am an even bigger UN-fan of Dion :tongue
My favorite play of his Redskin career was watching him do his little dance while waiting for a ball to come down for a return...and it hitting him in the facemask. Oh, how I laughed! I couldn't help but root against him, even when he was in the burgundy and gold. I should say when he soiled the burgundy and gold. I wish he would just go away...

I think he is just trying to drum up some attention. This guy believes he is some sort of Americana-iconic figure in the American sports psyche. Truth of the matter is he is three full years removed from the most physically intensive sport in the world. If he were to come back he would surely find that his physical gifts have eroded to the point of embarassment. Chris Mortensen keeps saying how he beat out Fuller and R. Lewis in a foot race across the street. Big Deal. Deion was great, I will acquiesce that. However, his strength lied in his foot speed and coverage skills which I hasten to think still persist. His tackling was always sub-par. This is a circus act to plug himself back into the forefront of US sports.

Would love to see him come back only to get burnt so many times that he is cut bye mid season. But I would not want to bet against him doing well.

I think the biggest thing to me is that the Ravens is a defense that hits very, very hard. Deion is not known for hitting, actually to the contrary. His strength was stoping the play before it starting with INTs and swatting, and of course punt returns. If the WR already had the ball the best he could do is push him out of bounds.

Noiw there's the venomous Deion hate-mail I expected to see here. You all just needed something to get you jump-started...
I think he could still be effective in a limited role.
I know we all hated the hell out of him when he was here but he wasn't horrible. He wasn't the Deion of old and he clearly had lost a step, but he was still better than most corners in the league.

It seemed to me when he was here, he did very well on deep coverages, but was beaten like a drum on crossing patterns. It didn't take defenses any time at all to figure out how to attack him. He may be able to help as a nickle back, but he better be on outside coverage...
