I can't condone drafting Jordy unless he's capable of giving me Warp 9.5.

3:10 to Jordy-ville!Schneed10 04-15-2008, 12:41 PM I can't condone drafting Jordy unless he's capable of giving me Warp 9.5. http://www.durfee.net/startrek/images/LaForge1.jpg goodolddb 04-15-2008, 12:45 PM warp 9.5 wont help us. We need a big smart WR who can run good routes. Ade Jimoh Fan Club 04-15-2008, 12:47 PM I personally like the idea of taking the best D-Lineman (or Brandon Albert) in the first round and then taking the best O-Lineman OR CB/SS in the second. There will still be a quality WR available in the third. For instance, Jerome Simpson may be available in the 5th and he is a BEAST. A little raw, but his combine numbers are amazing. Especially his vertical leap of 41". Could be this year's Colsten. Bottomline- WR's are TOO risky to go after in the first round. Especially this year. At this rate Jerome Simpson is poised to go from the late 2nd to the early 3rd. If we're lucky he'll slip to the bottom of the third but he won't be available in the 5th, and you can quote me on that. Otherwise I will send you a hallmark card with $5, if he goes in the 5th. Also speaking of the 5th, McShay and Kiper are both predicting that Albert has a strong chance of going 5th overall to the Chiefs and if not them then the Patriots or the Ravens will take him. If he falls past that point then he won't get past the Texans at 18. I know McShay and Kiper aren't always right, but from my experience they don't put themselves into a corner by speaking so strongly about a possiblity unless they know it's likely. Dirtbag59 04-15-2008, 06:25 PM Would you guys settle for Warp 2? http://nbcsports.nbcunifiles.com/spts/files/nbcsports/cfb/Week%202%20Top%2025/MalcolmKelly_320x250_9-7-7.jpg EARTHQUAKE2689 04-15-2008, 06:30 PM Jordy Nelson would be a steal for us, only in the third round.... WE need to adress the De position 1st round DE Phllip Merling or CB Aquib Talib 2nd Round Saftey Josh Barrett or Wr Manningham 3rd Round WR Jordy Nelson or Jason Jones DE Compensatory 3rd CB Zach Bowman pass rush, safety wr,cb........ lb 5th / og 6th/ og-t 7th/ dt 7th Manningham NO way should we draft that overratted bum SkinsFanSince91 04-15-2008, 06:37 PM From a former walk-on struggling to get on the field at strong safety to one of the premier receivers in the collegiate ranks. A hard worker and the kid can play. He is big 6'3 and smart. Basically everything we need in a WR. We'd be fools to pass him in the 2nd this kid has skins core player written all over him. Bout time someone sees the light! lol But seriously, the kid will be a great, hard-workinj, and trouble free Redskin for years to come.
