There has been a lot of crane accidents recently. These and bridge concerns makes
me worried about what hurricane season will bring.

we had a 35 ton crane go down at work, about 6 months ago. you want to talk about scary. luckily, no one was injured

They've been utilizing a giant crane directly over my office for the past two weeks. They've dropped things and each time it shakes the room and little particles fall down from the ceiling.

Dmek, don't you work at Alumax? I didn't hear about the crane thing...

It's totally bizarre. I had never heard of a crane collapsing and now 3 in 2 weeks? Strange to say the least. I don't like heights, and just looking at those huge things makes me queasy. It would be just about my worst nightmare ever to be on or around one of those things when it went down.

yes, and i guess it was kept in house. because no one was hurt. and it was a 35000 crane, not 35 ton. but still a big over head crane
