God that's hard to listen too. Dexter has never been to sharp. I'm guessing he's got some serious mental problems and/or back on drugs. Hope that's not the case.
Elliot probably should have just let it go. Damn, hard to listen too. I feel bad for him.
Let's remember that he also underwent serious brain surgery a few years ago and suffers from memory loss because of it.
Either way you look at it I don't think it's cool to make fun of Dexter, dude's had a rough life.

I agree. The guy has been thru alot. Not too cool to take him to task when he's obviously not in his right mind.

A close friend of mine was talking to Dexter at a football camp and gave me a little insight to his addiction.
He said that he never touched cocaine in highschool, or even college... but the second he went down K street.... his life hit addiction.
Found that kind of interesting.

BTW..... pretty shitty interview.
Elliot is usually funny, but really lacked class during this interview. Pretty much just picking on the guy... but I guess that's Elliot.

Thank you. It's pretty obvious Elliot was looking for a fight. Let's see, Elliot talked about Dexter's problems figuring out the brackets, crack, and illiteracy. Granted, Dexter has publicly talked about all of those issues. That said, it seemed clear to me that Elliot was trying to elicit laughs at Dexter's expense.

If Manley can't handle questions about how you get through college without reading, simple facts about his life, or about what an upset is -- don't go on a radio program. Simple as that, Elliot asked a lot of questions I was curious about (IE, how did you get through college without being able to read).
He's been through a lot sure, but lots of people have. You don't find it strange that an NFL football player doesnt know what an upset is? Crack and illiteracy are two things Dexter talks about the most now days -- mainly how it made him find Jesus, but still staples on what he talks about.
Elliot typically does pick at his guests a bit, but as someone sick of hearing interviews where people get softball question and you never hear anything you're interested in, it's refreshing. I keep hearing poor Dexter, but if you can't handle interviews -- stay off the radio.

That's pretty shitty. Leave the guy alone.
Yea, he was one of the greatest pass rushers in Redskins history and you all are talking about him being dumb, why don't one of you try to go on TV and get interviewed I know I'd be nervous and I'd probably be pretty nervous, so what if he's not a genious he was a Redskin and that's better than anything you could be.

Elliot could have asked the questions he wanted without insulting the man. I don't think the questions bothered me as much as his approach.
It's one thing to ask legitimate questions and play around with him a bit, but its a totally different thing to exploit someones handicap. The guy had brain surgery, and wasn't the brightest person in the world to begin with. Then when Elliot started yelling at him...I don't know... Just seemed to me a bit like he crossed the line on this one.

Elliot? Crossing the line? no way! this is the guy who almost got booted off the air for playing unedited Disturbed. Dexter should have known better than to go on his show. Yeah, he is funny sometimes but he is just waaaaaay too stupid for me to have ever listened to.
