All this means is that we have to go after a receiver for real now, and it will not be only for necessity but also for depth.

I'm getting the feeling that we could trade for someone on draft day.

I am getting the sense that we had better not. I would like us to use our picks for a change. We drafted pretty well the past couple of years. Imagine what we could do with all of our picks.

Seriously though, I would rather trade for an outstanding WR than draft one in the first round. But that is the only position that I feel that way about.

Good luck Reche. They released Isaac Bruce and Caldwell knows Saunders stuff, so he'll probably be a decent contributor out there. Always had a soft spot for him since he's a Gator. Maybe a 6-6 James Hardy in the second round?

Hardy is a problem child, so I expect the front office to stay away from him. Plus if the front office sticks to their guns and stay true to their belief that there are no recievers worthy of a 1st round grade then chances are that right now our 1st round pick will be Albert, Phillips, Talib, Balmber, or Merling.

That sucks that he is gone. I was hoping that we'd have him and then pick up his brother in the draft for the Caldwell combination.

Reche was solid receiver who could always pick up that clutch first down catch.

Also, there was nothing on the field that he couldn't see, if you know what I mean...he's on another team now so all's fair.

What would make u say that Hardy is a problem child? I looked it up. He has one incident in his collegiate career in which he apologized, paid he dues, received counseling, and has been a model citizen since.

Scoutssay that he had off field issues all the time, but one should look into such things before one regurgitates rhetoric and then labels another person.

I don't remember them saying there was no WR worthy of a first round pick

I think Cerratto had been quoted a while back that they didn't have any WR's graded as "first round" talent.

I'd have to look for a link but I thought what he said was no WRs rated among the top 20. Of course we pick 21st :)

I have no idea what they're going to do. I think it will all depend on how big they feel the drop off would be at WR from pick #21 to their 2nd round pick versus other positions. I'd still like to see a trade down preferably.
