I dont really see why we should sign Matt Giordano, because all he has been in his career is an ok special teams player.

In 2 words: Quality Depth

He's filled in with the Colts when Sanders went down, then again when Bethea was hurt and was productive. I'm not saying he should start, but he would provide depth at both safety spots.

2007: Started four of 12 games at S position, three at FS and one at SS…saw action as reserve and special teamer in remaining games…started at SS vs. Tampa Bay 10/7 for injured Bob Sanders…started final three games at FS for injured Antoine Bethea…was inactive at Carolina 10/28, at San Diego 11/11, vs. Kansas City 11/18 and at Atlanta 11/22 with injury…had 21 tackles, 13 solo, 2-89, 1 TD interceptions and one pass defensed…also had four special teams tackles…had two tackles and 83t interception return vs. New Orleans 9/6…marked second career interception and first career TD…had two stops and one pass defensed vs. Denver 9/30…had three tackles in start vs. Tampa Bay…had four tackles in each of final three starts at Oakland 12/16, vs. Houston 12/23 and vs. Tennessee 12/30…had interception vs. Houston…had two special teams tackles at Houston 9/23. POST-SEASON: Saw action on special teams in Divisional Playoffs vs. San Diego 1/13.

Look if you want to make the argument that if a safety gets smashed by Mike Sellers than he must suck. Well if that's the case then I guess Brian Dawkins is a horrible safety too. Mike Sellers weighs 285 lbs. What happened to Kennedy on that play most likely would've happened to most of the safeties in the leauge.

Woah! Slow down killer. He got cut by Detroit. Yeah, Detroit. If Kenoy Kennedy gets cut by Detroit he probably isn't very good. Also i didn't say that he sucks or anything about him except that Mike Sellars smashed him. Dude that hit is one of my all time favorites! That hit makes me laugh dude, i'm laughing now just thinking about:) it. But, if you think he sucks its cool with me though. I'm personally not in the habit of saying that professionals suck.

And if you were paying attention i was saying that he probably wouldn't want to come here b/c he is Mike Sellars's little bi.

Anyway imo Boulware or Giordano could help us with depth and they should be affordable. Probably not as affordable as Kennedy, considering he got cut by the Lions and all..

This post make sense because the Skins would be wise to sign a FA Safety.
Having 2 really young guys back there doesn't make sense without a decent Vet.
I don't buy that "were gunna draft a safety" stuff. (unless someone great falls in our lap)

I doubt the Skins sign a guy that was SPANKED by Sellers...even if it was just one play...that would be a huge hill to overcome in the locker room.

I think that Michael Boulware would be a nice pick up, because he would come cheap and hes young and showed in his rookie year that he had some talent.
