Feedback!!! SeanTaylor21 03-08-2008, 08:59 PM For some reason i got something against kenny phillips but i think that brandon flowers would be a nice pick up EARTHQUAKE2689 03-08-2008, 09:00 PM Depends on how the first 15 picks in the draft goes XXVI 03-08-2008, 09:03 PM A lot of draft sites have him late first round ;] ;] ;] ;] and Brandon Flowers too... I think we should trade up to early second. Take Phillips at #21 and get Flowers if possible with that early second. XXVI 03-08-2008, 09:05 PM OMG I just saw it! Starting secondary for the 2008-09 Redskins! CB#1 - Brandon Flowers CB#2 - Shawn Springs CB#3 - Fred SMOOOOOT CB#4 - (whenever he comes back) Carlos Rogers SS - Laron Landry FS - (ST clone) Kenny Phillips [or if we can't get Flowers, flip Landry and Phillips. That takes a LOT of pressure off the middle, and our coverages.] Wow, that sounds good. EARTHQUAKE2689 03-08-2008, 09:13 PM OMG I just saw it! Starting secondary for the 2008-09 Redskins! And no matter how good your secondary is if you have NO pass rush they will get picked apart Stuck in TX 03-08-2008, 09:15 PM brandon flowers would not be our numbe one corner. And no matter how good your secondary is if you have NO pass rush they will get picked apart yeah we need some D line help. A good D line makes an average def backfield look good. wilsowilso 03-08-2008, 10:10 PM Take the best player available, but I really really want a DE. I would have no problems if we trade up for DE Harvey from Florida. Luxorreb 03-09-2008, 07:17 AM Harvey would be a great pickup. I have a feeling though we won't move up to take him. I've hoped that we get Kenny Phillips, but don't know if that's a little too weird and almost a guaranteed disapointment waiting to happen. Noone will ever be ST #21. Even though I'd love for Phillips to be a Redskin, I think the team will shy away from this move. Flowers would be a good 2nd or later 1st than 21st. That takes a LOT of pressure off the middle, and our coverages.] Wow, that sounds good. Brandon Flowers is 5'9", ran a 4.6 at the combine, and had a 30" vertical. So he is a short guy, with very little explosion, who played the boundary corner at Tech (i.e. shorter side of the field). If I'm not mistaken, Tech runs a ton of zone coverage and their corners are not asked to play much man. Corners coming out of that program have not had a whole of success, with the exception (maybe, but you could argue he is overrated) DeAngelo Hall. But Hall has elite athletic skills, which Brandon Flowers obviously does not possess. No thanks to Flowers, no thanks to Phillips, unless they drop down to the 2nd or 3rd (for Flowers) rounds. |
