So is Kwame Brown. :)

Sorry, I know what you meant but I couldn't resist.. I'd like to have either Johnson or Hackett in maroon and black by the end of the week.

Paintrain, you are quite the smart ass today.
Very funny! :)

But he started 15 games in the past two years and didn't exactly set the world on fire. And, as I've mentioned before, why is he stuck behind those guys anyway? Not to take anything away from him but he was a high first round pick wasn't he? So I'm not saying he's a bust by any means...but shouldn't there be a bit of a higher standard for such a high pick?

I'm sure he'll be a fine complement but I don't know that he's so much better than what we currently have, yet his contract would likely say otherwise.

As for Walker, yeah when he's healthy and motivated he's great. Question is will he be healthy and can he stay motivated.

My response is that your right. I don't think theres a great argument to be made for any of the free agent WR's(except Moss). They are all guys who have not done all that much in the league and are going to get paid mostly on potential. The best thing you can say about Johnson is that he was 3rd behind two great players and maybe he will bust out with more opportunity. And the best thing you can say about hacket is that he played in Seattle and knows the offense. In either case we will overpay based on what their actual production should merit. I rarely advocate trading draft picks but in this instance I believe that trading our #1 or #2 pick for a legitimate #1 WR is the correct course of action...it takes two to tango on that though.

Maybe they were thinking of Spencer Johnson

Wikipedia is good for understanding cool facts and getting the jist of certain topics, but I don't think its a really reliable news source. If I had to guess I'd say a PFT fan edited the page.

No trust me I couldn’t agree with you more, but, I use it a lot to get background on potential players when we discuss them on here and never have I seen them pull this kind of trigger. I just wanted to put it up as I thought it was really kind of strange....???

For Chad Johnson or Roy Williams I'd strongly, strongly consider it. I'd love to get a 4th rounder as well out of it though.

I checked their website and they didn't mention anything yet. I actually like the sound of this guy if we don't pay to much. Here's an article regarding his visit with Buffalo today.

I LOVE this move of Bryant Johnson. This kid does something every time he gets a shot. He knows the west coast offense, and hes big enough and strong enough to go over the middle. He also won't break the bank. Perfect signing!

They are the two I was thinking of that I would give the pick for. I prefer Williams because he's younger and his personality may blend in better.

JLC makes no mention of Bryant Johnson

Nothing Doing At Redskins Park
Vinny Cerrato and Karl Swanson are interviewing candidates for the vacant director of PR position, with more interviews scheduled for tomorrow..

Skins have no free agent visits planned (they told free agent safety Will Demps he could come in for a visit during talks with his agent over the wekeend, sources said, but we'll see when or if that happens)>

That's it. Pretty quiet. Quite weird, but as a worn-out beat schlub I ain't compaining. I could get used to this

What do you mean he does something everytime he gets a shot? He started 8 games last year and had 26 catches for 291 yards and 2 TDs. So what exactly does he do?

(As a comparison David Patten started 7 games in 2006 and had 22 catches for 217 yards and 0 TDs.)
