If we're going to take a corner in the second round then we can get grab Antione Cason or Tracy Porter. Both look like a good fit for our system. Also theres the possiblity that the Skins will draft Rogers-Cromartie, but I doubt the Redskins spend a first round pick on a DB four times in a row.

2005: Carlos Rogers
2006: No first
2007: Laron Landry
2008: Devin Thomas?

if we are gonna use an early draft pic, use it on Dante Hall
???? Am I missing something here?

Well with Lloyd gone the team needs a new distraction. :)
Lol, he obviously meant DeAngelo Hall, but if he wants to trade a 1st round pick for a #4 WR then go ahead.

Lito just isn't worth it. Sure he would be if he were a FA, but we need those picks.
People say "if they are willing to dump him, then we shouldn't listen" all the time, but they are very rarely correct. You don't have to look far to find successes. Randy Moss being a perfect example. Just cause a player is not performing at his max with a team doesn't mean a change of scenary and a change of teammates can't do wonders for people. Sometimes one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Do we really want Sheppard? I mean there is a reason that the Eagles are trying to off-load him to us...
That is odd that they'd want to trade him within the division. There's got to be more than meets the eye here. They know how good Springs is and must not think much of Lito. I'm glad we're not making the trade.
Since they're coming to the Skins trying to trade Lito, wouldn't we have the upper hand? Why do they want high draft picks as well? Why not try to tack on some Iggles draft picks for the trade?

The FO looks like they may have had a change of philosophy! I don't like that trade niether...glad to see the egos calm in the FO. This team is good and can get better slowly!!! Draft wisely!

I think this is wise, to not trade picks for injury prone players.. you only take a chance on injury prone players who are a free agent, because then you dont have any picks tied to them.
You better make sure you are getting a sure fire stud ( unlike the signings in the recent past) because i will almost guarantee trading them picks will come back to bite you in the ass.

I wouldn't give them a 2nd. We can get a pretty good DB even in the 2nd round. And I wouldn't want them to have two second-rounders.
Reasonable people with disagree. If the Eagles demanded a 2nd rounder or less, I'd pull the trigger. Lito is a 26 year old Pro Bowl corner with 4 years left under contract and his cap figures are more than reasonable, especially when you consider that top flight corners are getting about $9M per year in today's market. Granted, you might find a great, young corner towards the end of the 2nd round at an even better price. But then again, you could draft a total bust or just a serviceable backup. It would be a close call, but a late 2nd rounder IMO would be worth it.

I wonder if a la Walker, they release Sheppard and we can get him without giving up anything but cap space.[/quote]
With the amount of money they handed Samuels I could see this as a distinct possibility.
I still wouldn't shy away from giving a 3rd for him....what's the old NFL adage? You can never have too many good corners. Springs, as much as I love him, is no spring (no pun intended) chicken. I can see a future of Lito, Fred and Carlos.

I didn't understand your first sentence. Probably some lawyer mumbo jumbo :)
Tell you what I'd trade the 2nd if we get Lito and their 4th rounder (do they have a fourth rounder?)
