Next in the line of the "How About [insert has been, never was, or never will be star Free Agent]?" threads. I question whether Dolphins "never was a star" safety Yeremiah Bell would be a good addition to the Skins.
In 2006, Bell emerged as a play maker for the Dolphins desecrated secondary by laying the wood and showing a lot of range. 2007 was supposed to be the year the rest of the league took note, but he tore his ACL, interestingly enough, against us in the first game. Enter Parcells, and now there's uncertainty about him returning to the Phins.
I think he'd be worth a roster spot. He's probably not going to cost a whole lot, after the torn ACL, and I think he could beat out Reed Doughty for the starting spot. At worst, he'd add much desired depth at the SS position, and be a hard hitting rotational player in the secondary.
So, please humor me. Toss out a few yay, nays while we wait for the next has been, never was, or will be star free agent to be inserted into the "How About...?" threads.
