I'm a little late to this party, but I've got this other life that allows me to pay the bills. I'll say Neon Deion was the worst IMO. I know you've disagreed w/ me in the past about this Matty, and I don't have the time to look up each and every stat (see above comment re: "other life"), but I just can't recall him doing anything of note...except stealing $8 mil from the Redskins for one lousy year.
I totally disagree w/Deon. He retired because Marty was hired, and he admitted he wasn't ready to change at that point of his career.
Deion was not a "shut down corner" when he came here, Champ was. For that reason Deon got picked on a little bit. Compared to other cb's, he was still well above avg. & if not for his name & flashy ways + salary, everyone would say he's alright. He even played all 16 games, something he hadn't done much of elsewhere.
Seems to me people criticize Deion being here because they had great expectations of him. He was past his prime (time) but still played well on a good D in 2000. Remember that team beat all the best teams in the nfl, but lost to the sorry ones mainly because of turnovers.
