Does anybody know if this was designated a post-June 1 cut or not?
I would think so unless they can use Sean Taylor

Of course now we're going to talk about him more than we ever have <<If only we had Ramsey throwing to Lloyd...>> Somehwere Rexi is laughing..that bastard freddyg12 02-26-2008, 05:53 PM Man, what's up w/the Skins' timing? Don't they know we just got going on another Loyd thread & we were waiting to hear about Zorn talking to him? :) Going into the offseason I bet if there was a poll here, Loyd's release would've been Inevitability #1. Good riddance, I don't wish anyone bad luck but a part of me hopes Loyd sucks wherever he goes. really feel like he just screwed our team. One of the worst free agent signings ever in the history of unrestricted free agency IMO. SmootSmack 02-26-2008, 05:55 PM Man, what's up w/the Skins' timing? It was a trade, a bad trade. The only solace we can take, I suppose, is that the Niners wasted the picks. Longtimefan 02-26-2008, 05:58 PM Yeah this certainly was a colossal failure. Of course now we're going to talk about him more than we ever have <<If only we had Ramsey throwing to Lloyd...>> Somehwere Rexi is laughing..that bastard Mike Wise was just on Comcast SportsNet talking about the Redskins release of Brandon Lloyd. He joked about how one day last Summer, Lloyd walked up to Clinton Portis in the locker room and said "I went fishing the other day and caught a fish that looked just like you" Clinton just shook his head, and walked away. Any wonder why this guy is no longer a Redskin? GTripp0012 02-26-2008, 05:59 PM I believe it has to be to make much sense to do it now.I don't think it can be. If we designate him post 6/1, we still have to pay his 1.8 mil roster bonus, because its due before 6/1. mooby 02-26-2008, 06:01 PM Who did SF take with those picks? Either way w/e, as the saying goes, cut our losses and move on. I'm pretty sure he'll go somewhere else and become a successfull young rapper, it sounds like he's committed to what he loves. Campbell17 02-26-2008, 06:05 PM OCHOCINCO, Williams, Berrian, Johnson(Bryant), I like all of them more than Lloyd. Its nice we freed some money up too. It cost us 2.9 million against the cap, to release him. Dirtbag59 02-26-2008, 06:11 PM Who did SF take with those picks? Either way w/e, as the saying goes, cut our losses and move on. Late 3rd round 2006 - Brandon Williams from Wisconisn who still hasn't caught a pass in the NFL. They then took Jay Moore from Nebraska who wne ton IR last year. However the thing is our front office does a great job of picking players in the draft, especially in the later rounds. In my opinion those two picks could have produced a starter and a role player. |
