Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers RB Mewelde Moore signed a three-year deal worth $4.95 million with a $1.35 million signing bonus. Moore will compete to be the team's third-down back and to return punts and kickoffs.

Raiders | Contract update: J. Walker

Updating a previous item, ESPN reports Oakland Raiders WR Javon Walker agreed to a six-year deal worth $55 million with more than $16 million in guarantees. He will get about $27 million in the first three years of the deal.

Bears | Booker agrees on two-year deal

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have agreed to terms on a two-year deal with free-agent WR Marty Booker (Dolphins). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cartwright's agent should note the deal that M. Moore got w/Pitt. Pitt doesn't pay much, but Moore is a much better back than Rock. Rock plays in coverage on teams, don't know if Moore does, but Moore is a better returner w/more breakaway potential.

I honestly think there breakaway potential is about the same. Neither are burners but we have seen Rock outrun people as well as Melewde.

Browns | Team agrees on new deal with Rogers

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Cleveland Browns agreed to a six-year deal worth $42 million with DL Shaun Rogers Wednesday, March 5. Three years and $20 million guaranteed were added onto Rogers' old contract, which was scheduled to expire in 2010. Under the new contract, Rogers will make $23 million over the first three years of the contract.

Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the Cleveland Browns signed DL Corey Williams (Packers) to a six-year deal worth $38 million. The deal includes a $6.5 million signing bonus, a $1.5 million roster bonus in 2008 and a $6 million roster bonus in 2009. Williams also has a $1.7 million roster bonus in 2010 and workout bonuses worth $595,000 over the length of his contract.
