He's had a very nice career and I like the guy, but I don't think this is a big deal. On a side note, they must not be very happy with '06 1st round pick Bobby Carpenter. He was supposed to be a stud, and in two seasons he only has 1 start and 37 total tackles. Thomas plays MLB & I presume will play inside in the boys 3-4. Bradie James is one starting ILB, who is the other? Guys don't settle for the veteran minimum as often as you think. I wish I could find a list of guys that have signed for the veteran minimum to show you how few quality guys sign for it every year. He just happens to represent Marion Barber as well and they are in contract talks. In fact I think the whole meeting with Thomas was done as a favor to Rosenhaus.
