free agent linebackers ,who should we go for in terms of depth or a starter?

I like Boss alot but he seems to be constantly hurt. DeMario Williams would be a great pick up. He is very athletic and would be a great addition to our line up for depth with Washington always hurt and Rocky coming off major surgery. Williams could be a nice sleeper UFA pick up much like Marcus was a few years ago.

you've pointed out a lot of good cheap LBs, which are always generally available (and hence my aversion to paying a 3rd high dollar LB or drafting them in the 1st round ever). torbor might be worth a look too.

interesting name on that list - terrel suggs. maybe a change back to DE for a STUD pass rusher? just dreaming, but that's a guy that's young AND good...

I doubt Boss would come to DC. Champ has never said anything positive about the organization since leaving.
I'd like to see Dan Morgan signed as a backup. He's good for a game or two if Fletcher gets hurt. He's a really good player but with his history of injuries he'll never be a starter in the NFL again.
I'd wait until June 1 to get some depth on outside but would use a 6 or 7 round to get some help as well as undrafted rookies. There are so many available OLB's and I think even more will get cut after some rookies on other teams have good camps.
