I'm not sure I like it from the Mavs side. They're losing a C (albeit a backup) who can log valuable minutes against the likes of Shaq, Duncan, and Bynum. Kidd can dominate in the East, but can he keep up with the PGs in the West? Kidd is a better point guard than Devin Harris, but guys like Tony Parker, Chris Paul are not as likely to blow past him as they are with Kidd.

Nets are clearing up a bunch of cap room and getting some draft picks. They're primed to make a big splash when they move to Brooklyn.

The Mavs have basically decided to scrap just about everything around Dirk, which is interesting because what if he's the one they should have scrapped in the first place? Great player, but the pressure is on him to really step up in the playoffs this year

terrible trade, by the mavs, I think Devin Harris has a legitimate nba future, and from what I saw outta Diop he was well on his way to being at least servicable and Kidd is old,

Kidd is going to struggle covering some of the quick young guards in westen conference over the next 2 years.. Chris Paul.. Tony Parker.. Deron Williams..I think its a few years too late for any impact..
