What have they won, ten out of 11 now, almost at .500!! Not in the playoff hunt but a nice end of the year turn around with a new coach, and no pitching staff. Gives us somethign to look forward to next year.

That Guy 08-14-2004, 02:35 AM wonder how they turned themselves around... either way, i'm a bit meh on the O's anyways... SmootSmack 08-14-2004, 02:55 AM Ever since they rehired Ray Miller to be their pitching coach they've had the best ERA in the American League. Of course, a lot of that could just be that their young pitchers are getting more comfortable pitching in the majors. A healthy Melvin Mora helps and Tejada is just awesome. 106 RBIs, leads the majors. love them hogs 08-14-2004, 12:43 PM I think a lot of credit needs to go to Mora.He had to adjust to playing third base.He has really stepped up his play this year on the field and in the box. They may not make the playoffs this year but this streak will help attract some pitching help hopefully. SeasonTicketHolder 08-14-2004, 01:13 PM I think they are definitely in the playoff hunt. They're what, 7 games out of the wildcard spot. I think if the pitching remains solid for the rest of the season, they have a chance to earn a berth. SKINSnCANES 08-14-2004, 04:21 PM yea if they keep playing like this they could put them selves in the race. 7 is a lot of games at this point, but they could do it. Baseball is definitly the hardest sport to make the playoffs in, with just one wild card spot. SKINSnCANES 08-14-2004, 11:23 PM looks like I cursed them by starting this thread last night, hopefully they get another streak going. |
