In all seriousness, Mooch would probably be a bad idea, because he would overshadow the head coach. But if they do it, my fealings wont be hurt. I just hope, that a year from now, we will be saying that Dnyder is a genious.

How can you say this? What on his resume says "creative offensive mind"? So creative he's been stuck as a QB coach. This is the same as making Bill Lazor the HC. Love the optimism. I'm hoping it works out as well but it's hard to actually have any factual basis for the optimism.

Oh, and Garrett isn't a HC either.

TOTALLY AGREE. What in the world makes anyone think this is a "great hire?" This is Danny Boy being typical Danny Boy idiot.

hey... just an idea... he said he wants to get back coaching... no HC jobs open... they have the same offensive philosophy

Only problem is ... I don't think Snyder was impressed with him...

Hey, I hear you. I hope this guy showed VC and DS a playbook that would rival Bill Walsh. Anything less and you have to think this is a very strange hire. Remember, he was brought on as an OC 2 weeks ago which was already a step up in the ranks. He never had a chance to prove himself at that level and now he's the HC. I pray all the Zorn lovers are right.

zorn will be a good coach he has a ton off offensive experience, but as far as play calling experience,he will come out on top.after all he called plays behind center for years.

I don't know that Zorn is ready to be a head coach, but his title of QB Coach wasn't entirely accurate in Seattle as he was very involved in the play calling

Holmgren calls the plays in Seattle. Haskell is the OC. Zorn was the #3 guy on that depth chart.

SO he didn't get the plays from the sideline and called everything at the line like Peyton Manning? I'm curious where this is coming from.

Hey.. I have many doubts, but I am drinking the kool-aid.... I'm gonna give him a chance, listen to his press conerence... get pumped about some fresh perpective...

my question is... has any HC been hired from QB coach without ever being OC first? Anyone know of an example?
