Does anyone really trust any info coming from Doc Walker? IF that is the reason given that is just ridiculous. Just fire the guy if you want to bring in Zorn's guy, don't go and slander EB. Oh, and by the way, nothing was Joe Gibbs fault if you ask Snyder so if they did have a problem with the way Portis was handled (I didn't see a problem unless that is why Betts didn't get many carries) they would blame EB, never Gibbs.

I'm saying I don't trust any info coming from Doc Walker. If that turns into the official line that is ridiculous. However it goes down if they kick EB to the curb I don't like it.

Zorn That came from right field for sure! So who is going to run the O now? Not sure what to think but it should be a new way of doing thing in 08!

This move was totally unexpected and even though I still think Snyder botched this search in terms of the way he treated Ggggrilliammssssm, went running into the arms of Ol Fossil, and flip-flopped when the fans burned his ass for it, I have to give the dude some credit for taking a chance on a totally unproven commodity that is anything but a
"safe" move.
Zorn is described as having a similar demeanor and attitude towards profesionalism and leadership as Joe, which is probably no small part of his getting this job.
I'm guardedly optimistic. I just hope Snyder sticks with Zorn after he loses his first 8 games :)
Jim Fassel isn't to happy:
"At the end of the day," said Fassel, "Dan wanted to make a big splash, and I think he was worried about the Baltimore thing. He worried about the public relations (fallout), and he didn't know which way to go.
"I heard someone say there are no more George Youngs or Jim Finks in this league, people who really know the game. And I think that happened here. I don't think Dan surrounded himself with enough football people."

"Someone said to me that Jim Zorn has three jobs he hasn't done now," Fassel said. "He's a head coach, and he's never done it. He's an offensive coordinator, and he's never done it. And he's calling the plays, and he's never done it."
Worried about the Baltimore thing? That was more than just a thing Jim. Your best friend fired you for running the offense into the ground and being a poor play caller.

The search was anything but smooth and straightforward. But in the end, I'm happy with the selection. If the past has taught me anything, maybe having the the favorites turn you down can turn out positively... Pete Carroll wasn't the first choice when SC was searching for a new head coach- and I'm happy to say we got lucky in the end.
I hope Snyder isn't quick to pull the rug out from under Zorn at the first sign of trouble. I'll take progress over a quick fix.

No he was the scape goat,the O stunk becuase it was Billicks not Fassels.
Fassel is right,after the way all the coachs interviewed were treated Snyder is praying this works out becuase if it does'nt he's dead in the water.
