Hey Guys,

I understand the basics of the west coast offense, but I have one big question. From what I've seen from the west coast teams they use a fullback. Is this a big staple in the west coast?

If so -- Lorenzo Neal is reportedly going to be released from the Chargers. Can't think of a better fullback than him. I like Sellers, but not sure how I like him in the fullback role.

I disagree purely on a blocking perspective. I love seeing him get some carries and a target in the passing game, but he leaves something to be desired in run blocking.

I think you only have to look as far as Tom Rathman, William Henderson, Mike Alstott, and Lorenzo Neal to see that a quality FB is crucial in the West Coast offense.

Whether Mike Sellars can step up his blocking game has yet to be seen, and while he does catch the ball well, what he does afterwards (leaving his feet) needs to be attended to.

I would welcome Lorenzo Neal in here for our new west coast offensive scheme.

Did you fall down the stairs as a child, then again right before posting this thread?

Sellers is one of the better FBs in the league.

Neal is a great FB, but while Sellers is here, there's no need to get an other FB.

Lorenzo Neal is 37 years old. Let me repeat that. Lorenzo Neal will turn 38 this year. DOB 12/27/1970
Stop living in the past people.

Lets get serious. Sellers is good but with the exception of the hit he put on Kennoy Kennedy (which he got tackled by him anyways) he goes down to often for his size and he is a sub-par blocker.

While he's 38, he's still the best fullback in the league...4 time Pro Bowl, 3 time All Pro, all in the last 5 years. And while he may not have many years left, he's still a viable option at FB.
