I get the feeling it will be Spags. Snyder was just waiting for him to be available.

If you do a YouTube search of Spagnuolo the first couple of clips have him mic'd up during practices with the Eagles and Giants

I get the feeling it will be Spags. Snyder was just waiting for him to be available.

The only problem I've really had with Snyder through this whole ordeal is having him not taking responsibility for his actions. For example during his recent interview at the Super Bowl he said "we just want to complete the process" or something like that where I would have respected him a lot more if he had said "I want to take my time and make sure I get this right." I'm tired of him hiding behind set company policy and the word "we", where he should at least act like an owner and lay claim to what he has done both good (bringing back Gibbs) and bad (treating Williams like shit).

The one example I'd like to bring up concerning how its done is the owner of the Memphis Grizzlies. In a recent press conference he took full responsiblity for the Pau Gasol trade, and at the same time explained why he did it. Though I don't agreee with the trade I still respect him because the guy fessed up and gave me valid and rational reasons for what he did. Of course this has been said a millon times before.

Anyway thanks Smootsmack for pointing out the YouTube videos. Sounds like Spags has got a bit of an accent, though I can't really put my finger on what type.

Well he really shouldn't say much because the process is not complete, and secondly if he starts saying "I" then people will just start complaining about how VC is just his lapdog

I don't see anything that would make fassel better than spags. Spags will make our defense fantastic.

You could also turn that statement around, and read it from right to left.

We already have a defensive coordinator in place. While I understand the intrigue with Spagnuolo, and the SB win being his highlight of the moment, take a minute to look at the team defensive stats from the past season.

The Giants, Redskins and Cowboys finished the season ranked 7th, 8th and 9th respectively, and the stats of all three teams are strikingly simular. There's not enough differential in numbers to suggest the Giants defense was that much better than the Redskins. If we were to hire Spagnuolo strictly on his defensive prowess [the exception being the SB] then it's understood why such a strong case was made for the coordinator we already had in place in the name of one Gregg Williams.

Neither, I want Mooch.

JLC thinks Mooch, Meeks, Fassel, and Spags are all still in the running.

Last weeks poll had Mooch in an overwhelming win.

My question to all of you is why Spags?Your D was in the top 10 and you must admit the personel is different than the Giants so why bring him here why not a Offensive head coach who can help a team with a young QB?

Because he was on our radar before the big game anyway. Now that he has that fresh ring he commands respect and confidence will be there. He'll take us to the superbowl this year! Mark my words!!!!!!
