The Giants beat them, goes to show that Gibbs really wasn't that off thinking this was our year. That Seattle game haunts us.........

One second left or not, it's damn poor leadership to leave your team out there. It has nothing to do with relevance or practicality. It's in no way surprising, I would hardly expect better from the most classless coach in the league.

For all the talk of "it's a 60 minute game," the coach, the ultimate leader of the team, not only came up short in the loss, but he left his guys at 59:59. I don't care if it was a mere formality to end the game, no good leader walks off and leaves 11 of his defenders to finish it out.

A good leader is the first in and the last out, at least if he wants to maintain any sense of respect. If I were Belichick's players, I'd be royally pissed right now.

Mike & Mike tallked about this today. Golic makes the same point that's been made here, he shook hands & I think even hugged Coughlin, and the game was over for all intents and purposes. I can't blame him for wanting to get away from the masses.

Also, he was as gracious as he's capable of being in the post game. He gave the giants credit.

I think Taylor was at the game also... Notice the winning and losing score had a difference of 21 points each the last time these 2 teams played...
Pats won and had 38 pts last game Giants won this one with 17= 21 pt difference
Giants lost last one with 35 Pats lost this one with 14= 21 pt difference

Sean is everywheres I tell ya.

I really can't stand Belicheat but I had no problem with that. He really took the time to congratulate Tom Coughlin after whet he thought was the end of the game. I really could care less if he watched the final second tick off the clock or not.

The only thing I saw, or heard, in regards to Belicheat giving credit was a barely audible mumble to Chris Myers in his post game interview. He definately didn't offer his congrats to either Coughlin or the Giants (from what I personally saw and heard). He's a sore loser (among many other things) plain and simple. Like a parent, or your boss at work, you lead by example. The only thing Belicheat lead was the entourage to the locker room before the last second ticked off. Good bye and good ridence Bill. :Flush:
