Get him!!! Better CJ than Moss - any day!!!

Imagine a receiver over 4'2" in our line-up. Campbell would be giddy.

How about bryant Johnson from Arizona, he's a free agent that we could get for cheap, and he's the size we are looking for in a reciever

More of a headcase then CJ with no where near the talent. Might as well stay with Mix if we don't get a big #1

The bonus money all accelerates into this season, however, that's only signing bonus money. All of the other bonuses (roster or whatever) go away. They don't count because he won't be on their roster, so what I head was, they would have $6 million accelerated into this year. Then, they would either have a relief of 3.2 or 2.8 (can't remember) for this season, so he would only count 2.8 or 3.2 this year. If he's gonna be a headache, $3 million is nothing against the cap to get rid of him.

After that, he would no longer count against the cap. He'd be off the books after this year.

I see what you are saying, but it does not sound right.

The remaining signing bonus money he is owed is in the range of 8 mill, and if traded it is lump sum and counts against the cap.

The Bengals would take a loss of $8.03 million on the salary cap - money the club would not be able to spend on other players - if it traded or released Johnson before June 1, said Mark Levin, director of the Salary Cap and Agent Administration Department for the NFLPA.

Or I could be total wrong. (Actually Gil Brandt was wrong, but whatever...)

Moss wins every jump ball. He don't play small. I'd be the first to admit he had a very bad year in 07. He'll be back on track this year for sure, back to pro-bowl caliber and RE will be super with Cooley alway the man and Sellers with Portis and Betts we just need a healthy line and we're golden crispy!!

Chad Johnson is not the way to got for the Redskins IMO.

They should target Malcom Kelly in the draft. A stud WR that tips the scales at 6'-4" and 219 pounds.

That is just the BIG TARGET that JC would need and he would be around for a long time and you don't have to trade picks or players for him. This would be a long term solution.

I would love to bring in Chad, but what about the locker room? What if he explodes or what if we can't control him and his character issues?

No closer than it was a week ago. The Bengals are still maintaining that they aren't dealing him.
