I didn't want to start a new thread, but.
Why isn't Bobby Beathard in the HOF? He's been responsible or involved for 7 SB, going back to when he started in KC, Miami, Washington, SD. Here's a guy that's way overdo.

George Young is a well deserved candidate this year. He also was a great GM, maybe as good or better than Bobby B.

For Beathard to get in he would need a strong group of people backing him. This means more than just Gibbs and Shula promoting him. Saying that, as time extends, it seems as if the coaches are often credited for the entire win and the GM just becomes a reference. Besides, I don't think there ever has been a GM who wasn't an owner or a coach at some point as well.

I started doing some research and that is definitely a good question. I do not know why he is not in the HOF. I believe he should be.
On a side note: check out his son's bio on wikipedia: Casey Beathard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casey_Beathard)
