Are we the Detroit Lions?MTK 01-28-2008, 03:42 PM For the record in this decade the Cowboys are 62-66. The Redskins are 58-70. A whopping 4 game difference. mredskins 01-28-2008, 03:42 PM So what does that make you? Police of the thread police? If you don't like it, why comment? Exactly GTripp0012 01-28-2008, 03:44 PM The Cards are 52 games below .500 since 1997 The Lions are also 52 games below .500 since 1997. So conclusion: Lions comparable to Cards, Skins comparable to Cowboys, Pats comparable to no one. JWsleep 01-28-2008, 03:45 PM I do like pie... MTK 01-28-2008, 03:46 PM The Cards are 52 games below .500 since 1997 The Lions are also 52 games below .500 since 1997. So conclusion: Lions comparable to Cards, Skins comparable to Cowboys, Pats comparable to no one. Pretty much. But that doesn't make good drama. This does: SNYDER NEEDS TO SELL THE TEAM Redskins_P 01-28-2008, 03:47 PM Exactly Never said I didn't like the thread. I just thought the idea of comparing the Skins to Lions is ridiculous. Comprende? You still haven't added anything to this thread. So why are you here? I may have said it was ridiculous, but its not like I blasted anyone.... mredskins 01-28-2008, 03:56 PM Never said I didn't like the thread. All good bro.... firstdown 01-28-2008, 04:03 PM It is becoming painfully more obvious that we are laughed at around the league. From the way we handle the draft to the way we hire a coach to throwing cash at underachievers. Yet, we still sell out every game and the fan base grows. Almost every city in the country has an official Redskins fan club. The owner tries hard to win a championship (despite his failings) and will spend money. The fans care. The team has legacy and a strong history. What's wrong? In Detroit, DC, Cleveland and Kansas City fans live for their team (among others). The average Bostonian would rather see the Sox play a day game than another SB. In NY they have so many teams in different sports it's hard to say which is biggest. But these are the SB teams? We are Detroit now. Vinny is Matt Millen and beautiful FedEx is just like beautiful Ford Field (though they at least can get a SB hosted there). I pray that we don't endure the gap between championships that Detroit has, but it wouldn't suprise me. So find solace, fellow fans, there are others like us out there. Of course, we can still laugh at the Texans. For now. Well your first pargraph listed things that happened while Gibbs was here so I guess we have been the laughing stock for the past 4 years and more. Monkeydad 01-28-2008, 04:17 PM I think Snyder sold most of our members' brains. This has to be one of the most ridiculous threads EVER. |
