Um I read in the Virginian Pilot down here in Virginia Beach a couple days ago that he hoped Saunders would stay offensive Coordinator because he knows the playbook and has learned alot from him.
Never believe the Pilot!
Check here and the WashPost first, because it is days ahead of the Pilot.
This from having lived more than 35 years in Hampton Roads, now 55 mis. further south, near our five grandkids.
I'd even go to the Washtimes once in a while just for for k&g!

Or maybe its a sign GW could become HC
I was really hoping that might be the case... but leave it to Dan to squash my hopes.

i was never really that big on Saunders. with that being said, the best move for Jason Campbell might have been Saunders staying

100% agree...this would stupid unless we already have a coach.
I'm betting there already is a coach. Maybe the paperwork has not been signed but why would anyone want to go to a job not knowing who your boss is? or I should say who you are directly answering to. What if it turned out to be someone you never wanted to work for or dispised? I'm betting the co ordinaters who will be coming in know. I think DS is waiting for all the puzzle pieces to fall into place and then make one announcement. While waving good bye to the out going staff.
I think it's no coincidence that JC's best season in college came when he was running a WC offense. And here comes Zorn with his plan to run an aggressive passer-friendly version of the West Coast offense (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/01/25/AR2008012503449.html). It would not shock me of JC put his seal of approval on this hire.

Here's what I can tell you about offenses in general: ones that allow for higher quarterback completion percentages also allow for higher touchdown totals, and lower interception totals.
Now, not every kind of "west coast offense" necessarily makes it QB friendly, and no one knows for sure if Zorn is even going to run a west coast scheme. But a scheme that stresses completing passes is going to inflate passing efficiency for ANY QB, and of course, Campbell included.
The big key is to find a way to do it that isn't at the expense of rushing efficiency. Course, as the Redskins, that shouldn't be a problem. We couldn't run last year anyway.

I know the whole "quit yer bitchin" mantra is in right now. I also think some people (i.e., the "I'm selling my Redskins gear" crowd) are getting overworked and looking silly. That said, the notion that I, as a devoted fan, cannot take issue with front office moves is equally silly (no offense dblanch). As the owner, Dan has the power to make front office moves, but as a fan, I have every right to disagree with front office moves in a reasonable and articulate fashion.
Right on. No matter what happens, though, its out of our hands. Sometimes it seems like we're at a hairdresser's rather than a football forum. Reasonable and articulate have not been words representative of many of the posts I am reading lately. Bottom line is the current staff did not get it done. We barely got into the playoffs and lost to a team that really wasn't very good. I'm tired of eeking by. If it has to be blown up: so be it. If it's Zorn, Meeks, Fassel, Billick, George Allen reincarnated, whatever, then I'm all for it if the Redskins can field a team that not only "fights their guts out" but plays well and actually wins games by more than 3 points.

So... how long until Collins is gone? Without AS, his values is nil.
