Ha! I was making two seperate points, but I see now that it looks like I was addressing the system quarterback statement with an assault on the stats argument.yeah...
Is Tom Brady the best QB ever?GTripp0012 01-26-2008, 01:15 PM Ha! DCUNITEDFAN 01-26-2008, 06:06 PM Montano. The Gremlin 01-26-2008, 09:50 PM Keep telling yourself Brady is a system quarterback. Don't be blinded by numbers. I watched him play before this year. He wasnt great. zyvo23 01-26-2008, 09:55 PM Elway. He got to 5 SBs and led his team to game winning TDs in big games. He had very little supporting cast. Montana. Same as above, but had Rice, Clark, etc. Brady. Wins a ton, but never gets the gw TD. How good would he be if Vanderjagt were his kicker? I'll still take Marino, but reading that article has definately improved my opinion of a guy who I thought was more of a system QB. The rest of their list is meh, but I do support the Graham inclusion. The Gremlin 01-26-2008, 10:52 PM Id say Montana, Marino, Elway, Unitas, and Baugh in my top 5. onebum 01-27-2008, 12:44 AM He has a Great offensive line, 2 great/good recievers and one good one, a good TE, a good running back, and a very good/great defense. Think about the situations he has been in this year, and how many current QBs would have great seasons on that same team...10 others? 15 others? That many would not set the records he did, but heres what I think.. I think there are about 15 current NFL QBs put on THAT team with a few years in their system would also be skipping the first round of the playoffs....and a couple of them would have been setting records as well. my 2 cents prinzeofmoval 01-27-2008, 04:22 AM the most exciting ever by far is Brett Farve sancho2613 01-27-2008, 04:34 AM the most exciting ever by far is Brett Farve :food-smil I agree with you there..... |
