I caught a few seconds of Colin Cowturd talking about this yesterday and to me it makes perfect sense. The Monday after the Super Bowl is one of the biggest days for people calling in sick to work, so why not move the game to a Saturday? People can party hard on Saturday and have Sunday to sleep off the hangover and get back to work on Monday.

I'm all for it how about you?

The bad thing about Sunday is the start time of the game. 6:30pm with a 45 minute halftime (it seems that long!) makes for an ending after 10pm. My son is 10 and really in to football right now, but it is a school night and he will have to go to bed before the game is over! Start the game at 3pm!

He said Saturday, not Sunday. This would only benefit the young viewers who could stay up late Saturday to watch the whole event.

Young viewers do not pay the bills though - do not buy the product advertised... hence why they do not care about the young fan.

I can't see a reason why it would hurt revenues to the NFL. You'd still have the same number of TV viewers.

Makes sense to me.

Basically it is easier to be hung over on Sunday then Monday.
