Alstott in his prime was great and bashing through people, if Sellers continuse to get better Id love to see him start going to come pro bowls for bashing through people.

That bring up an interesting question for me. Now that Gibbs is gone, odds are we are goign to run a new offense, so no more h-back. The only reason i say that is because cooley was listed as a full back two years ago for the probowl ballet and then this year as a TE. Seems like the voting for Skins is unfar because our players dont fill traditional roles. Mabye Sellers will get more votes next year now.

Then again who knows what his role will be under the next coach

and the people that say Alstott was over rated make me laugh. he was basically Riggins of now-a-days. i would have loved to have had him in his prime. if he played for the skins, some would be touting him for the hall.

I can't hear his name without thinking of his invisible, yet extra-long elbow. It's a shame, he was a good FB. I remember him in his Purdue days too, but since that bad call, that's all I can think about whenever he's mentioned.

Stupid ref.

Traditionally players exceed pro bowl expectations than make it the year after, hense sean taylor in 05 than in 06, his first pro bowl. Sellers was a first alternate this year, i bet he goes next year, should have gone this year but its all good. I feel portis also gets snubbed for the pro bowl too, in 05 and this year. Pro bowl is just a popularity contest..

Pro Bowl appearances are not a great measure of a players effectiveness. Mike Alstott couldn't hold a candle to John Riggins. The Diesel was the state champion sprinter once upon a time. Alstott NEVER had the speed that Riggins could flash after battering opposing defenders all game. I won't bore you with stats but if you compare Alstott's to Riggins's, he wasn't even in the same league.
