Dude, if you don't want to talk about the rumors going around the walk on by and read drudge. This is a very interesting time for a lot of us because it offers insights into the organization and the owner. It's funny how people who have no time for this stuff love to drop in and flame. If you don't like talking about it then move along.
I think what several people are tired of is this does not give us any insights into the organization or the owner because no one really knows what is going on. I have seen Snyder called all kinds of stuff just because they are not showning their hand at who will be the next head coach and people are judging him and others off rumors.

Don't take it personal, unless it applies, but as has been said ad nauseam on this board: No need for 15 threads discussing basically the same thing. No reason this couldn't have been posted in one of the other coaching discussion threads. I would have loved to simply "skip it" and not read through something that I know is borderline pointless, but the sheer volume of horrible threads makes the site hard to navigate.
Hey man, you're right. I thought it was an interesting twist regarding GW perhaps not being in the running at all but it could have been put elsewhere. peace

Read the banner, it says "Discussion for the Knowledgeable Fan" not "Rumor Mongering for the Mindless Dolt."
Agreed. Though in redwagon's defense, I don't think this is one of those threads.
Now the petition on the other hand...
Matty - no tantrums here. Just discussing what JLC is reporting. If this is too speculative for the board then fine. My bad.
I was talking in general, not about you specifically.

No worries. I get where BB is coming from. I have all the time in the world these days to follow this crap, others may not.

Agreed, this thread is nowhere near as bad as others (petition, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?) but I would love to see a Coaching Thread Super Ultra Mega Merge.

I can't tell if it is just JLC's reporting (I don't think so) but I actually think his last blog (reported here by RW) is pretty disheartening. I've tried to keep an open mind about the thing, and wasn't ready to jump off the Key Bridge (I guess Ravenel Bridge is closer for me) if they hired Fassel. That being said, the way Snyder has seemed to alienate Gregg Williams and the rest of the existing staff is really disappointing. For now at least, it also looks like the coordinators they wanted won't be coming in either and it just seems to be getting pretty ugly. If the Fassel/Ryan/Zorn thing could have happened quickly and without all the mess it certainly would have been better than the current situation. It just seems like the process here has really alienated a lot of people (and I'm not even talking about the fans) and been handled pretty poorly.
After the way they treated Williams (and Marty before) I just have a hard time understanding why any coach would want to come deal with the Snyder/Cerrato tandem. I guess if your other option is calling games for Westwood One it is pretty attractive, but besides that ... (and I don't mean to dump on Fassel either, just saying that you have to know that if your name isn't Joe Gibbs you are never going to really run the show).

I would really like VC and DS to make a good hire and let that guy choose his own staff. Everyone knows who i think is a good hire...GW. I do not like our FO interviewing DC and OC's before we even have a coach. I really thought after Joe Gibbs that DS may have figured a couple things out, and maybe he has, it just doesn't look like it from an outsiders point of view. I thought he would make a good hire and let the coach do his thing...like Gibbs.
